Total quality on display at all about automation ~ Inspekto to showcase new Autonomous Machine Vision system in Friedrichshafen ~

Inspekto, the global pioneer of Autonomous Machine Vision (AMV), is inviting manufacturers to test its AI-driven vision inspection system, the INSPEKTO S70, now equipped with a new software system, at all about automation 2022, from April 5 to 6, in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own parts at booth B1-510 to be inspected in a live demo during the show.

The INSPEKTO S70 enables manufacturers to have full control of their quality assurance (QA) processes, with no need to commission customized projects from external experts. The product is an edge-device that comes ready to use and, thanks to a quick and user-friendly setup, eliminates the costly integration and training process of traditional machine vision systems.

The live demonstrations at all about automation will showcase the versatility of the system for both large production facilities and small to medium businesses (SMBs). At the show, the INSPEKTO S70 will be presented in a new configuration — integrated on a cobot for maximum flexibility. This is only possible because the system can inspect multiple products on the same production line, effortlessly switching from one to the other.

The system is operational in multiple facilities around the world. Spearheaded in Germany by leading automotive manufacturers, it has rapidly spread to the electronics, plastics, and metal industries thanks to its versatility and adaptability for a wide range of use cases. The system is also ideal to inspect complex items and is consistently used in the QA of printed circuit boards (PCBs).

The INSPEKTO S70 uses three AI modules in combination. Thanks to the smart capabilities of these modules, the electro-optics system is adjusted autonomously to auto-focus and take the best image possible of the item to be inspected. This allows manufacturers to reliably inspect challenging parts made of highly reflective materials, such as metals and glossy plastics.
